What to Expect

Common side effects of under eye treatment include bleeding, bruising and swelling. Swelling varies per person and will resolve within 24-72 hours. Bruising is highly unlikely but if this occurs it can last up to seven days. Since this is a natural treatment, results are subtle and gradually build overtime. Improvements may begin to show one month after the first treatment. As the collagen matrix continues to rebuild, results peak at six months and can last up to two years. A review is recommended four months after a series of three treatments.​ To maximise results, it is important to understand and address the cause of under eye presentations and use quality maintenance products at home - including sunscreen! Important Information

• Drink PLENTY of water leading up to your appointment. 1.5l is recommended two hours prior.

• Avoid fatty food, animal products and alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment.

• With PRF under eye treatment, your blood/plasma IS your medication! It is recommended to have a healthy fat free diet leading up to treatments - avoid fatty foods and alcohol 48 hours prior.

• All treatments at Nurse Nyma Aesthetics include medical oversight, however we are all unique and we recommend consulting with your primary physician to see if this treatment is suitable for you. 

• If you are fighting an infection, it is recommended to reschedule your appointment due to poor plasma.

• Cease smoking seven days prior to treatment.

• Avoid consuming Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Nurofen, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, Turmeric, Fish Oil, Garlic pills or any other anti-inflammatory medications for 1-2 weeks prior as they can increase the risk of bruising. Only stop these medications if approved by your treating physician. 

• This treatment is not suitable for people with blood disorders, chronic liver disease, malignancy, pregnancy and undertaking anti-coagulation therapy.​
