O-Shot ®  Brisbane

1.png

The O-Shot is a non-surgical treatment for women aimed at supporting intimate wellness. It works by stimulating blood flow, encouraging the development of new nerve pathways and strengthening surrounding tissues, which may help reduce degeneration in the area over time.

At Nurse Nyma Aesthetics, we are committed to supporting women in feeling more confident and comfortable in their intimate health. Many women experience changes in this area, and it is important to know these concerns are common and nothing to be ashamed of. We encourage open conversations and offer consultations with a qualified and internationally licensed practitioner trained in providing the O-Shot® treatment, which may be a suitable option for some women

What is the O-Shot®?

The O-Shot®, or Orgasm Shot, is a clinically backed, minimally invasive procedure aimed at enhancing sexual pleasure and restoring confidence in intimate health. This treatment uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood to stimulate tissue regeneration and improve overall vaginal wellness.

There are various factors that can cause vaginal discomfort and it’s essential to consult with your regular trusted medical professional to understand the root cause. When receiving the O-Shot®, Nurse Nyma will collaborate with your General Practitioner, Gynecologist or other healthcare provider to ensure comprehensive care tailored to your needs. Unsure where to start? Book a consultation with Nurse Nyma, who will create a safe space for discussing your concerns and perform a holistic assessment with information about the procedure. Nyma can also refer you to her preferred General Practitioner who specialises in womens intimate health for a more detailed consultation to address more complex concerns before undertaking treatment.

Benefits of the O-Shot®

Relief from Menopause Symptoms: The O-Shot® may alleviate symptoms like vaginal dryness, discomfort during intercourse, and reduced libido, which are common during menopause.

Vaginal Rejuvenation: PRP injections may enhance the elasticity and moisture of vaginal tissues, reducing dryness, discomfort, skin tears and conditions like lichen sclerosis.

Increased Libido: Many women report heightened sexual arousal and satisfaction following the procedure, as it improves sensitivity and sexual experiences.

Improved Urinary Incontinence: Some women experience relief from urinary issues such as urgency and bladder leakage after the O-Shot®.

The Procedure

The O-Shot® procedure is straightforward and usually takes about 45 minutes, with 20-30 minutes allocated for numbing cream to take effect. After an in-depth consultation with one of our trusted medical professionals to assess your safety and medical history, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm. This blood is processed in a TGA approved centrifuge to isolate the PRP, which is then injected into specific areas of the vagina.

Most patients report minimal discomfort, thanks to the numbing cream, and there’s generally little to no downtime afterward. A treatment plan is customised to your needs after the initial consultation.

What to Expect

Many women notice immediate improvements after the procedure, with optimal results appearing in a few weeks as the body continues to regenerate tissue. The effects can last from three months to over a year, with peak results typically occurring around the three-month mark.

For ongoing intimate wellness, we recommend an annual treatment. For those dealing with moderate to advanced symptoms such as lichen sclerosis, vaginal tears, significant dryness, or pain during intercourse, a more frequent treatment schedule may be suggested.

Certain conditions, like lichen sclerosis, may require clearance from your GP prior to treatment.

Disclaimer

The O-Shot® (Orgasm Shot) is a non-surgical, elective procedure that uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), derived from your own blood, and is designed to support natural tissue rejuvenation in the vaginal area. While some individuals report improvement in sensitivity, lubrication, and urinary control, results vary significantly between individuals.

This procedure is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition or sexual dysfunction. No therapeutic claims are made. Despite the large amount of clinical data available, the TGA states that "effects of PRP treatments are still being studied and there is currently limited clinical evidence to support consistent outcomes".

As with any medical or cosmetic procedure, there are potential risks and side effects. A comprehensive consultation is required to determine individual suitability, assess health history, and provide informed consent.

This service complies with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) advertising code and is delivered in accordance with Australian health and regulatory standards.
