Post Tattoo Aftercare Steps

Eyebrow Tattoo Healing Process

The healing process following an Eyebrow Tattoo procedure can be a roller coaster of emotions while the areas heals. The healing times will depend upon a few factors such as your skin type, metabolic factors and if all the aftercare directions were followed.

We give the recommended aftercare directions so we hope that you will follow them.
You have outlaid a substantial investment in your brows and we want you to have the best results possible.

The full healing process can take up to 4 weeks for the final results to be evident. At this time, we can then book in a touch up to improve or refine the brow tattoo.

Eyebrow Tattoo Aftercare Steps

Day 1 (Appointment day)

  • Avoid alcoholic drinks and caffeine for 24 hours as this reduces swelling and bleeding

  • 1st day (appointment day) gently wipe the eyebrow tattoo with the cotton pads provided an hour after the appointment and again two hours after. After the second wipe apply the tattoo ointment using the cotton tips provided. Apply the ointment twice a day (a fine layer) using cotton tips.

  • DO NOT RUB and use CLEAN HANDS

Days 1 -7

  • Do not apply ANY makeup or skincare product near or on the eyebrow area

  • Do not do ANY Workouts/Exercise/Activities/Saunas that will cause excessive perspiration

  • Keep the area DRY - If they do get wet in the shower dab gently with a clean towel

  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure

  • Apply the ointment twice a day

For the entire 4 weeks

  • DO NOT wash or clean your eyebrow tattoos. Getting them wet in the shower is fine but do not rub or try to clean them. You must blot them dry with a clean tissue or clean towel afterwards

  • Avoid hot showers or hot compresses on the areas as this can open your pores which can lead to pigments escaping the epidermal area.

  • NO skincare products above the cheekbones

  • Avoid any skincare products that contain retinol (Vit A), AHA's or BHA's, Vitamin C or Vitamin E

  • Sleep with a clean pillowcase and avoid tummy sleeping and side sleeping

  • Avoid touching the eyebrow tattoo area. If you must - make sure your hands are washed.

  • Avoid ANY picking, stretching, scratching the tattooed area. Allow the scabs to form and fall off naturally

  • If the area becomes overly itchy or too dry - Apply a rice grain sized of the healing cream we recommend

  • After day 14, you can gently wash the brow area with warm water ONLY and then blot dry with a clean tissue or clean towel. No more than twice a day.

Be sure to book in and attend your touch up session at the end of 4 weeks.

Lip Tattoos Healing Process

After a lip tattoo or lip blushing, your lips will look larger/swollen/puffy.
Do not be stressed by this as the swelling will go down.
Your lips are incredibly sensitive, and it will take several days for the swelling to go down.

When lip tattoos are freshly done, they will look 50% darker than the results that you want. Between 1-5 days after the procedure your lips will start to flake and fade - BUT the colour will gradually intensify again to the shade that you originally desired.

It is important that the lip tattoo aftercare instructions are followed so you get the lip tattoo results that you want and achieve long lasting results.
